What should a teenager eat every day for a healthy diet?

Each individual should make it a goal to eat a healthy diet full of a variety of foods from each of the four food groups. Check out Eating Healthy for a list of servings and particular foods that you should eat daily. This site also explains the food pyramid which is an excellent guide to follow. As a teenager it is vital that you consume an adequate amount vitamins and nutrients through your diet that are necessary for proper growth such as iron and calcium.
It is never too early to develop healthy eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your adult life. However, it is also important to eat those things that you enjoy, like a Snickers bar, as long as it is eaten in moderation. Do not deprive yourself. Once you see how enjoyable and easy eating healthy is you will not think twice about doing it everyday.
