Hairy Situations: Too Much, Too Little & Shaving / Question
Published: May 7, 2002

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I am 18 and I have no facial hair. I only have it in the mustache area, and when I shave it, it will only grow into very thin stubs, and no longer.

Signed: No Facial Hair

Dear No Facial Hair,

There is really nothing that can be done to make your Facial Hair Grow Faster.

As long as you have progressed through the other phases of puberty such as an increase in size of penis and testicles, the ability to ejaculate, growth of pubic hair and a lowering of the voice then there is nothing to do but wait. Facial hair is often the last change that accompanies puberty, so there is a possibility that your amount of facial hair will increase.

However, ultimately it will be decided by genetics. Some men have more facial hair then others. It is just a fact of life and does not reflect anything about the man or his masculinity. If you want to look on the bright side think of money you will save in razor blades.
