Dear Sex At End Of Period - Pregnant,
Anything is possible, but it is highly unlikely. In order to become pregnant, a woman needs to ovulate. Ovulation generally does not occur during the last days of your period - but it can in some individuals. Also, a young woman's bodies differs because most teen-aged females do not have a normal cycle that can be predictable. The best way to keep track of your cycle is to mark it down on a calendar (especially the first day of your period).
You did not mention anything about birth control and condom use. TeenHealthFX is a firm believer in safer sex through condom use and birth control. This not only prevents against pregnancy but some Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Since you are sexually active and are worried about pregnancy, TeenHealthFX thinks that you need to see a doctor or go to a teen health center. Teen health centers can see teens for sexual health reasons without parental consent and on a low/no cost basis. It is very important that you do not rely only on your menstrual cycle for birth control. When you are a teenager, your menstrual cycle is often irregular and not a good prediction of when you will ovulate. This makes it extremely difficult to give you any safe times to have unprotected sex. Also, this method of birth control is unreliable and offers no protection against STDs. A note here: If you decide that you are ready for sex, you need to take the responsibility of your medical health and go to a teen health center.
In northern New Jersey, please call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 889.6350 or call your local Planned Parenthood.
