Dear Acne & Tetracycline,
Tetracycline is an antibiotic that is prescribed by a physician to deal with a broad spectrum of conditions that may occur in the body. During treatment of acne, several types of medication may be tried. This may include both oral medication (an antibiotic such as Tetracycline) and topical lotions. Tetracycline is believed to be an effective part of acne treatment because it kills the bacteria which play a role in causing acne. It is important to follow the entire course of treatment, and attend follow up appointments with your doctor so that progress can be monitored.
Whether this drug will be successful in reducing the amount of Acne that occurs for a person, is a decision that a physician must make. So see your doctor if you are interested in using any type of medicine for acne.
