Dear TeenHealthFX,
Can anything happen to a person who drinks someone else pee? Thank-You
Signed: Drinking Pee

Dear Drinking Pee,

Drinking your own or someone else's urine can be very unhealthy and risky. Urine tends to be acidic, and can carry bacteria or toxins since it is a waste product that the body discards. While some people may enjoy sexual activity that includes the use of urine, it is not a good idea to ingest waste products. While STDs are not often transmitted in the urine, it is possible for some to be present. Sharing body fluids is a dangerous practice, and should be avoided whenever possible.

There is very little information regarding how urine ingestion will effect the esophagus, digestive tract and teeth (which can decay when exposed to acids) but TeenHealthFX still does not recommend this practice. The answer to Peeing and Sex can provide you with additional information.
