Two Black Chin Hairs
Published: April 19, 2009
Hello, I am a seventeen year old girl and you see. Tonight when I was washing my face, I looked near my chin and noticed not one, but two black long little hairs coming out of my chin. It kind of freaked me out. Is it normal for teenage girls/women to get a couple of stray chin hairs and will it grow back if I pluck them? That is my main concern. Please help, so I can put my mind to ease. Signed, Xxxxx.

Dear Two Black Chin Hairs,
It is absolutely normal for women to get stray hairs here and there, including various areas of the face such as the chin. Since you only have two hairs to remove, TeenHealthFX suggests that you simply pluck the hairs. The hairs will grow back, but you can just continue to pluck them whenever they start to grow in. The only possible permanent way to remove the hairs would be by using electrolysis – however, electrolysis is an expensive process and would not be the first hair removal method to be recommended if you are only dealing with two hairs.
