Check out these two health websites, one for teen girls and one for teen guys, through Children’s Hospital Boston:
The Center for Young Women’s Health (CYWH) was founded in 1998 by the Division of Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine and the Division of Gynecology at Children’s Hospital Boston in an effort to provide teen girls and young women education of various health topics. One of the ways they provide this education is through www.youngwomenshealth.org, an award-winning teen girls’ health website featuring health guides, quizzes, chats and more. The website mission statement:
The mission of our website, youngwomenshealth.org is to help teen girls, their parents, teachers, and health care providers improve their understanding of normal health and development, as well as of specific diseases and conditions. We want to empower teen girls and young women around the world to take an active role in their own health care.
Youngmenshealthsite.org (YMH) is a website that was created by the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s Hospital Boston with the goal of providing health information to teenage boys and young men. The Adolescent Division started posting health information online in 1999, and in 2008 the information was transformed into the current website. The mission statement of YMH is as follows:
