Female Body Concerns / Question

Dear TeenHealthFX,
One of my labia is longer than the other. Is this normal?

Dear Longer Than The Other,
TeenHealthFX cannot diagnose you over the Internet. You do not mention if this is a change or if it is red, itchy or irritated. You also do not say if you are sexually active or not.
TeenHealthFX strongly urges you to see your doctor and get it checked out in case you need treatment.
If you are sexually active and cannot talk to your parents about this, find a local teen health center or call a Planned Parenthood. Teen health centers can see teens for sexual health reasons without your parent's permission and on a low or no-cost basis. When making the appointment, let them know why you want to be seen.
If you are sexually active, do not have sex until you have determined if what you describe is normal or a sign of an infection that needs treatment. After you see a doctor, remember to always practice safer sex.
