Dear No Fluid During Orgasm,

In males, the pleasurable release of sexual tension, known as orgasm or climax, involves ejaculation. Once the level of stimulation reaches a critical peak, semen is then expelled from the penis by a series of rapid muscle contractions. Adequate amounts of the hormone testosterone are essential for sperm to be produced but even if a male has not completed the stages of puberty some seminal fluid is released during climax.

You may have not been able to ejaculate (release sperm) due to stress or it may be a medical concern. Many times young men have a hard time ejaculating. If you have masturbated and have ejaculated without a problem, many medical professionals would think that your concern was situational or caused by stress and performance anxiety (your worry that you are doing the right thing and the stress associated with that). Since you have had problems with ejaculating during masturbation, you may want to talk to your doctor about it. FX knows that it can be scary to talk to your doctor about these types of issues, but you really need to. Your doctor will not share this information with anyone and it is important for you to be able to communicate with him/her about these types of issues now and in the future.
