Online Resources for Teens and Young Adults Who Self-Cut

Two online resources for adolescents and young adults who self-cut and engage in other self-injurious behaviors:

S.A.F.E. Alternatives (Self Abuse Finally Ends)

S.A.F.E. Alternatives is a nationally recognized treatment approach, professional network, and educational resource base, which is committed to helping people who self-harm end their self-injurious behaviors.

The Cornell Research Program on Self-Injurious Behavior in Adolescents and Young Adults

The CRPSIB website aims at summarizing the work and research of the organization, as well as to provide links and resources for information related to understanding, detecting, treating, and preventing self-injurious behaviors in adolescents and young adults.

An additional resource is the Self-Injury Hotline. You can contact the Self-Injury Hotline (information only, not a crisis line) at 1-800-DON’T-CUT, 1-800-366-8288.
