Why do girls where thongs?

Dear Thong Usage,
This is a question that required some thought and guidance. TeenHealthFX took this question to the Teen Advisory Committee (a group made up of teens that work on making the website better). They helped to educate FX on some reasons why. So here goes:
Thongs can be used as swimwear or underwear. Some women find them more comfortable than underwear and prefer to use them just because. Some of the teenage females stated that they do not create any underwear or panty lines so nothing can be seen under their pants or skirts. Some women felt that when using them as swimwear they created no tan lines. Lastly, some of the young men and women in this group felt that they are cute, stylish and fashionable, whereas other did not. So that is the answer.
Medically, there is nothing wrong with wearing them as either swimwear or underwear. The most important medical concern here is that they should have a cotton area that covers the vagina. Sometimes thongs may cause chaffing, as would underwear. In addition, they may be uncomfortable to some women because it is just a string that goes in between the butt cheeks.
Each woman needs to make her own decision on this. It is purely a taste issue. This all being said, when wearing a thong as a bathing suit or any telling clothes for that matter, you need to use good judgment and think about the situation first.
