Mouth And Teeth / Question
Published: February 23, 2004

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I have a blister in my mouth and it forms and then pops. I don't have any pain, but when they bust there's white stuff, almost like a pimple or something. It is located right above tooth number 2 on the outside of my gums. Any ideas?

Dear Blister In Mouth That Forms And Pops,

Blisters in the mouth can often caused by some type of infection either on your gums or related to your tooth itself. Unfortunately, TeenHealthFX cannot diagnose you over the Internet. We suggest you see either your doctor or dentist to find out what this blister is and get treatment if necessary. If you do not have a doctor and you live in the Northern New Jersey area, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973.971.6475 for an appointment. In other areas, call your local adolescent health center.
