Dear TeenHealthFX,

This weekend, I have been having the shakes all over my body and feeling very tired. It all started after cheering at my football game.

Dear Shaky & Tired,

Feeling tired after a lot of physical activity like cheering at a game is pretty par for the course, but shaking all over is not something you should have to go through.  Feeling shaky could be the result of any number of things including poor nutrition and lack of the proper rest.  You may want to try talking with a coach or school nurse about implementing a safe and healthy plan. Eating the right foods and exercising responsibly will keep you healthy and feeling great, even after you exert a lot of energy.

If these symptoms continue to bother you after every time you exercise, TeenHealthFX thinks it would be a good idea to see a doctor to have it checked out.  A doctor can examine you, evaluate the situation and hopefully help you to feel better.  If you do not already have a doctor that you feel comfortable with and live in the Northern New Jersey area, you can contact the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973.971.6475.
