Other Skin Conditions: Moles, Birthmarks, Dryness, Etc. / Question
Published: May 24, 2000
Dear TeenHealthFX,
I have a weird little bump on my leg that won't go away. It doesn't hurt, it isn't red and it's about the size of a dime. What the heck is it? How can I get rid of it?

Dear Weird Little Bump,
TeenHealthFX is glad to hear that the bump does not hurt or is not red but we cannot diagnose what it might be over the Internet. You need to see your doctor who can look at it and ask some questions that might include:
- When did you first notice it?
- How long has it been there?
- Has it changed in size?
- Has it changed shape?
- Has the color changed at all?
Your doctor may refer you to a dermatologist, a doctor who specializes in the skin, to have your bump evaluated and removed, if that is what you want or need.
