Dear Used My Mom's Razor And Feel Badly,

Don't feel too badly about it. As girls get older and start going through puberty, it is natural to start to think about body hair and shaving. But it is also common for girls to feel somewhat embarrassed to talk to their mom or dad about this - and many do end up using one of their parent's razors without asking because of their embarrassment. You're not the only one to have done this.

What FX thinks you should do is bring the topic up with your mother rather than waiting for her to do it. Tell her you have some questions about shaving and ask her whatever you want to know. Find out from your mother how she would feel if you started shaving, and if she can buy you your own razor and shaving gel if she is okay with it. And remember that this is a normal conversation to have with a parent and that there is nothing to be ashamed about or feel badly about - just have the talk and make sure that you use your own shaving equipment from now on.
