Dear TeenHealthFX,

I've seen people cracking their knuckles and backs, and that's normal. My knees, hips, ankles and shoulders pop very often. Is this normal or is it some sort of medical problem?

The "popping" or "cracking" of joints is not necessarily bad for you, and we could not find any references to these activities being a sign of something being wrong with you. Experts have found that joint injuries caused by accidents, injuries or overuse increase your risk for osteoarthritis. Here are the warning signs of arthritis:
