Dear TeenHealthFX,
Why do I get bags under my eyes, and how do I get rid of them?

Dear Baggy Eyes,
This is a common concern felt by people of all ages. The bags that you see under eyes can be the result of a number of things. Many people are genetically predisposed to get them. They are born with darker circles around their eye sockets. There are also some environmental factors that can cause the bags including allergies, dehydration and the lack of sleep.
There may not be cure for these annoying bags, but there are a few things that you could try to alleviate them. Always keep hydrated by drinking multiple glasses of water everyday. Along with drinking, do try and get enough sleep each night to feel rested and alert. The market is also filled with new creams that are made to help reduce puffiness under the eyes; you may want to try one of them as they may provide temporary relief. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask, or even try your doctor.
