Male Body Concerns / Question

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I was having sex with my girlfriend, when right before I "orgasm" I pee'd inside her. I knew it was pee when I withdrew and it was still dripping. Will everything be all right with her?

Dear Pee'd Inside,

Your girlfriend should not suffer any ill effects if you urinated inside her. This type of problem does not happen frequently. The normal physiology of erections and ejaculations involves closure of the bladder neck so that semen does not go backwards into the bladder. This closure of the bladder neck also makes it very difficult to urinate with an erection even if you have a full bladder. Nonetheless, it probably would be a good idea to empty your bladder before sexual activity.

If this problem continues to happen it would be a good idea to be examined by an urologist to see if the condition is related to any bladder problems. If you live in northern New Jersey you can contact the Adolescent/Young Adult Center For Health at 973.971.6475 for an appointment with a doctor.
