Penis & Testicle Concerns / Question
Published: November 26, 2002

Dear TeenHealthFX,

My penis seems to have some scar tissue on it, sometimes I peel it off but it just grows back. What does this mean?

Signed: Scar Tissue On The Penis

Dear Scar Tissue On The Penis,

TeenHealthFX cannot make a diagnosis on the web. A doctor should check a sore on the penis or any other part of the body that does not completely heal. There could be several explanations for your problem including an easily curable rash or a more serious infection.

Scar tissue on the penis is not normal and needs medical attention. Once your doctor can diagnosis the condition and he/she can prescribe a course of treatment that will alleviate the problem. Peeling of skin can lead to a secondary infection. Because of this reason, TeenHealthFX again strongly recommends that you stop peeling the scar tissue and get checked out by a doctor.
