Dear Period Every Other Week,

TeenHealthFX believes that you should see a doctor about your irregular periods. It is quite normal that your period is irregular for the first or second year after you have started your period. Various situations can contribute to irregular periods such as stress, drug use, hormonal contraceptives, an eating disorder, obesity, strenuous exercise and chronic illness. Your doctor can do an evaluation to find out what may be the cause of your irregular periods.

If you need help finding a doctor and live in northern New Jersey you can contact the Adolescent/Young Adult Center For Health at 973-971-6475 for an appointment.
