Penis & Testicle Concerns / Question
Published: May 28, 2003

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I am a 20 year old male and I have seen very little to no growth in my penis or testicles for as long as I can remember. I am becoming worried that there is something wrong with me. My penis and testicles are very small and I think I should see a doctor but what kind of doctor. I am worried that it won't grow any more because I can ejaculate, is this true? Thanks for your help.

Dear 20, Seen Little Or No Penis Growth,

The penis stops growing when you reach the conclusion of puberty. We cannot tell you if you are finished with puberty yet and whether or not you will continue to grow. It is possible for the penis to still be growing at age 20. However, since you are probably nearing the end of puberty, the penis may grow slightly in width rather than length.

Questions about penis size are very common among males who send questions to TeenHealthFX. Please check out TeenHealthFXs responses to these questions to see what is normal and what is not in terms of penis size and testicles: Penis Size, 3 Inch Penis, Can I Make it Bigger?, and When Does the Penis Grow in Thickness?.

Your idea about seeing a doctor is a good one. A doctor will be able to evaluate you and give you the information that you need. A doctor at your local adolescent health center or clinic should be able to help you. If you live in Northern New Jersey, please call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 971.6475.
