Penis & Testicle Concerns / Question
Published: September 30, 2005

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I think i might have some sort of tumor in my penis. There is a small hard lump in the head. I am quite worried at the moment, because i don't know if this is normal or not. You have no idea, how much this is bothering me! Please write back.

Dear Lump In Head Of Penis,

TeenHealthFX understands your concern - having a lump anywhere on your body, especially in such a sensitive area can be worrisome. Lumps are not always “tumors” or cancer. They can be a number of things; such as cysts or STD’s.

Since TeenHealthFX can not make diagnosis over the Internet, we strongly urge you to see a doctor to get a proper diagnosis and possible treatment options if necessary.

If you do not have a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973-971-6475 for an appointment. Outside this area you can call your local health clinic or Planned Parenthood.
