Dear What Is Masturbation,
It is natural to be confused about masturbation. Masturbation is usually very private and not openly spoken about. Masturbation also carries with it a great deal of myths and falsehoods that lead people in the wrong direction about what it actually is.
Masturbation is simply the act of self-stimulation and sexual arousal. It is accomplished by oneself and is usually done alone, but it is becoming a common practice among couples. It is really a good way and the only completely safe way to obtain sexual arousal. You can't get pregnant or catch any diseases. There are no health problems involved in "Masturbation" and it is much more private. Because most of the time it is performed alone and in private, there is less of a chance of embarrassment or performance anxiety. For most people, masturbation is often thought of as taboo, but in reality it is very common and healthy.
Each individual masturbates differently. Some just use their fingers either inside the vaginal area or on the outside. Rubbing is also common practice. The means by which you masturbate are completely of your own personal preference and can be done while fantasizing, dreaming or just relaxing. Masturbation is a good way of figuring out what feels good to you. It's a helpful way to get acquainted with your body and to learn how you respond to things. The more you know about your own body the better able you will be able to communicate with your future partner.
