Dear Objects In The Vagina-Infected,

Anytime you put a foreign object in your vagina you risk infection. This is not to say you should not do it, rather make sure the object is clean and does not have any sharp edges that could damage the lining of the vagina.

A broken pen that remained in your vagina for a day certainly seems likely that you could have caused some damage to your body. In order to positively identify what the problem is you need to see a doctor. Do not be embarrassed to tell the doctor what happened. A doctor's main concern will be helping you and not judging your behavior. Your doctor may also advise you about safer ways to pleasure yourself.

If you need a doctor and you live in northern New Jersey you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center For Health at 973.889.6350 for an appointment.
