Dear TeenHealthFX,
I am a 16-year-old male and my penis slightly curves to the left. I was wondering if this is normal, and if this will go away naturally or if there is some way to fix it, without the use of surgery?

It is quite normal for a man to have some curvature to his penis. Sometimes the situation corrects itself on its own. There is no reason to do anything with a bent penis unless it is causing pain during erection or sexual activity. Some women even say that they prefer a curved penis because it gives them a heightened sexual pleasure.
However, if the condition is really bothering you, or if you have any of the above symptoms, talk to your doctor. He or she can relieve your concerns and let you know if there is something you should be doing.
