Females: Your Period / Question

Dear TeenHealthFX,
I got my period about 2 or 3 weeks before I fooled around with my boyfriend. At the 4-week mark I bled a couple a dots. Is this normal to experience after sex or was this a period at all? I'm really worried this might be pregnancy or something worse because it was only a few small dots instead of my regular flow.

We are not sure if "fooled around" means that you had intercourse/outercourse, but according to the timetable that you give, TeenHealthFX thinks there is a chance that you could be pregnant.
You should see your doctor or if you don't feel comfortable talking to your own doctor, try your local Planned Parenthood or if you live in Northern New Jersey, you can also call Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973.889.6350 for an appointment. Planned Parenthood and the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health can see you on a no/low cost basis and they will be able to tell you for sure if you are pregnant and explain to you in detail what your options are.
