Dear Creatine Effects,
TeenHealthFX does not believe that you should take the supplement creatine because the long-term side effects are not known. Most of the research completed to date has been done on college-aged people. Creatine's impact on a growing adolescent has not been sufficiently investigated.
Those who advocate the use of creatine claim that it can enhance muscle mass increase speed and promote strength. Some of the side effects reported with the use of creatine are muscle cramping, muscle pulls, dehydration, stomach cramps, stomach upset, and kidney problems.
Whatever goals you want to meet through the use of creatine, can be met in other healthier ways. Talk your gym teacher or any of the professionals at a local gym. They can help you design a workout that will be safe and give you the results you desire.
