Spot Reducing & Increasing / Question

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I've heard losing some weight can decrease breast size. Is that true? Are there exercises that can help in that area? I've always had large breasts and I want them to be smaller.

Dear Decrease Breast Size Through Exercise & Diet,

It is true that losing weight may decrease your breast size, but the way that it works is by losing weight all over your body. It is not possible to ONLY lose weight in your breast area. FX really recommends that all people have a well balanced diet that follows the food pyramid and get regular exercise.  We would not recommend starting a diet without the assistance of your doctor.

Also, there are no particular exercises that will help you lose weight in your breasts, but regular exercise will tone your entire body.

So to answer your question, there is no miracle way to decrease your breasts (without surgery), however you are a teen and still growing.  This means that your body will probably become proportionate with your breasts.

Keep in mind that although you may be very unhappy now with your breast size, give it some time to get use to them.
