Sports & Nutrition: Miscellaneous / Question
Published: February 27, 2001

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I am a slim person but my hips are out of proportion with the rest of my body. I slouch more then other people and my knees are much bigger. I researched this problem and found out my femur is not in the average position. I want to know whether there is a surgical operation that can segment the femur so that it can be reshaped?

Dear Surgical Operation For Femur,

TeenHealthFX would really like to help you but you need to give more specific information. How disproportionate are your hips compared to the rest of your body? Has a doctor or nurse ever said this to you or is it something that you have noticed? The same is true of your knees. Write back and give as much detail as possible. TeenHealthFX thinks your question is very important and would like to answer it as accurately as possible.
