TeenHealthFX understands that these symptoms can be troubling. Unfortunately, we cannot diagnose you over the Internet, but we recommend you see a doctor right away in order to rule out heart or breathing problems.
While we do not know for sure what is causing your pain, it is possible you have costochondritis. Your doctor will be able to let you know if this is the case and you may be able to reduce the pain with something as simple as ibuprofen. It might also be a good idea to talk to your parents about these symptoms so that they can support you and help find you treatment.
If you do not have a doctor and you live in northern New Jersey, please call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 971.6475. If you live elsewhere, contact your nearest adolescent health center. If the chest pain reoccurs and you have not seen a doctor yet, TeenHealthFX recommends you go to your local hospital emergency room.
