Is There A Possibility My Partner Is Pregnant?
TeenHealth FX wants you to know that your confusion is understandable! Based off your description of the actions you took; it is unlikely for your partner to be pregnant. But it is possible to get pregnant with precum because if semen was anywhere near the vagina, the sperm can still swim inside the vagina from any vaginal fluid and/or mucus.
The only way to know for sure is by having them take a pregnancy test since they missed their period and to follow up with a doctor (gynecologist would be best because they specialize in the female reproductive system).
Remember to always use a condom to prevent pregnancy and protect yourself and your partner from STDs.
If you still have concerns and need help finding a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973-971-5199 for an appointment with an adolescent medicine specialist.
