Your penis will look different throughout the various stages of your life. While every boy develops at his own pace, most experience puberty sometime from 9-15 years old. Penis and testicle growth occurs during puberty.

Penises differ in shape, size and color based on hereditary traits that cannot be changed. Thus, you should not take supplements, use lotions, or eat a specific diet that is said to increase penis size.

TeenHealthFX recommends that all teenage boys have recurrent testicular exams to ensure that they are developing properly and no health issues are apparent. These exams are a great time to ask your doctor any questions you may have about your penis health.

If you don't have a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973-971-5199 for an appointment with an adolescent medicine specialist or contact your local teen health center or Planned Parenthood. A Planned Parenthood health center is a good option if you have concerns about cost or confidentiality issues. You can also contact your insurance company for a list of in-network providers.
